We’re excited to share that we presented two abstracts showcasing our research on 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻 (𝗦𝗶)as a potential 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿 for estimating digestibility in pigs:

📍 𝗗𝗣𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 – 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗶𝗴𝘀 (𝗨𝗦𝗔)
📍 𝗔𝗜𝗗𝗔 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 – 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 (𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻)

Our studies explored the performance of Si compared to conventional markers such as acid-insoluble ash, titanium dioxide, and ytterbium oxide across various experimental setups.

🔍 Key outcomes:
• Si yielded digestibility estimates comparable to Ti, Yb, and AIA
• Strong correlations between Si and conventional markers
• No marker × diet interactions, indicating robust consistency
• Potential for integration into routine mineral analysis (ICP)
• Protocol simplification and reduced need for external supplementation
